Ovostar Union N.V. (WSE: OVO) (hereinafter the “Company”), a vertically integrated holding company, one of the leading producers of eggs and egg products in Ukraine announces operational results for the year 2014.

As at 31 December 2014 our total flock increased by 12% year-on-year to 5.6 mln hens (31 December 2013: 5.0 mln hens). Laying hens flock increased by 15% over the same period to 4.4 mln hens (31 December 2013: 3.9 mln hens).

Over the reporting period egg production volume increased by 16% year-on-year to 1,038 mln eggs (2013: 893 mln eggs). Sales volume increased by 25% to 733 mln eggs. Therewith, volume of eggs exported increased 3 times, from 30 to 89 mln eggs. Average sales price of shell eggs increased by 15% to 0.819 UAH/egg compared to 0.715 UAH/egg in 2013.

In 2014 the Company processed 319 mln eggs (2013: 266 mln eggs). Sales volume of dry egg products increased by 14% year-on-year to 1 712 tons, while volume of dry egg products exported increased by 55% to 828 tons. Sales volume of liquid egg products decreased by 4% year-on-year to 6 514 tons. Average sales price of dry egg products increased by 32% to 60.10 UAH/kg; average sales price of liquid egg products increased by 15% year-on-year to 18.20 UAH/kg.

Investment program update

In 2015 the Company continues investment program on the territory of Stavysche production complex. As of the end of January, the third laying hens building in sequence has been already launched. The fourth laying hens building will be put into operation in April 2015. Also, new egg sorting equipment Moba Omnia 500 with a capacity of 180 ths eggs per hour has been installed on the basis of our egg sorting complex.

The Company CEO Mr. Borys Bielikov has commented:

“In 2015 we plan to increase volumes of eggs and egg products exported to our foreign clients significantly. On the back of this, in addition to installation of new egg production facilities, we shall invest in egg processing equipment, so we are able to double our dry egg products production capacities by the end of the year 2015.
