GROUP OPERATING STRUCTURE

The vertically integrated production of Ovostar Union covers all processes from the manufacture of hen feed to a wide distribution structure of sales.

Compound feed plant

The needs for feed for own livestock are covered by two feed plants. The first one, located in Skybin village, was acquired in 2000. Additional capacities were created at the site in Krushynka village, Vasylkiv district, Kyiv region, in 2009.

Both plants produce feed from ingredients of exclusively vegetal origin. At the end of 2018, the total capacity of the sites amounted to 56 tons of feed per hour.

Ovostar Union also owns an oil plant for the production of vegetable feed additives. There are no animal substances or synthetic additives in the diet of the chickens.

Parent livestock

Ovostar Union parent livestock amounted to 80 thousand by the end of 2018. This provides more than 10 million eggs for further incubation per year.

The site for the maintenance of the parent livestock is located in the village of Romashky, Kaharlyk district, Kyiv region.

Incubator

Own incubator was acquired by Ovostar Union in 2000 , it is located in the city of Kagarlyk.

The capacity of the Ovostar Union incubation facility is 5 million animal units, the number of incubated eggs is 10 million per year.

Poultry farms

The Ovostar Union Group of Companies includes two poultry farms. Yasensvit poultry farm is located in Krushynka village, Vasylkiv district, the Stavyshche poultry farm — in Stavyshche village, both in Kyiv region.

In 2018, 1.6 billion eggs were collected at Ovostar Union poultry farms, and the number of laying hens amounted to 6.4 million. The poultry farms received permission to export their products to the EU countries in 2017 and annually confirm the systematic quality management of their products with Bureau Veritas audits.

Egg product plant

The Ovostar egg processing plant holds the first place in Ukraine in the production of liquid and the second in the production of dry egg products.

This is a modern production complex that complies with international hygiene standards and food safety requirements. Supervisory authorities carry out regular audits of production sites, as evidenced by relevant certificates and protocols. The plant received permission to export to the EU countries and passed the audit of Bureau Veritas.

The production is located near the poultry farms of the Ovostar Union group of companies, which allows us to deliver fresh eggs to the plant, which have passed strict quality control.

Trading and distribution company

In Ukraine, the company's products are sold under the trademarks YASENSVIT (shell eggs) and OVOSTAR (liquid and dry egg products). In addition, a large volume of the national private label market consists of eggs produced at Ovostar Union poultry farms. The company supplies products to all national grocery chains, as well as to a wide range of local retailers and wholesalers, which allows consumers in Ukraine to buy products in their nearest store.

More than a third of the products are exported, the company supplies the products to 55 countries of the world — to the markets of the EU, Middle East, Southeast Asia and Africa.

To work effectively in export markets, the company has two sales offices in Latvia and the UAE.
