The new enriched cages installed at one of the Ovostar Union’s poultry farms YASENSVIT at Stavishche village, Kyiv region in April 2016 were successfully inspected by independent international Testing, Inspection and Certification leader Bureau Veritas. According to the inspection certificate cages dimensions and equipment meet the standards and requirements for the protection of laying hens according to Directive 1999/74 (EU). The cages are fitted with suitable claw-shortening devices, nests, food and water supply system. Each hen is provided with 50% more cage area. Lighting, sound level and ventilation conditions satisfy of the requirements.
The GC Ovostar Union became the first producer in Ukraine who launched the enriched cages at poultry farms. Accordingly to the Investment program and strategy for organic growth OVOSTAR UNION GC will continue sustainable development by enlarging production capacities and imbedding up-to-date technologies in poultry farms and egg processing facilities.
